Our members come from all walks of life. Most have jobs, families, or responsibilities outside the gym. They're not here to become professional fighters… they're here because JiuJitsu improves their lives.
Training gives you stress relief from daily life, a hobby you actually look forward to, and a community of people who push you to be better. You'll get in great shape, learn legitimate combat skills, and develop mental toughness that carries into everything you do. Whether you're a former athlete looking to compete again or someone who's never done a sport in their life, JiuJitsu challenges you in ways that make you better on and off the mats.

JiuJitsu gets you in shape without feeling like a normal gym routine. You’re training hard, but you’re also learning real skills, solving problems, and working with partners which is more engaging and actually enjoyable. When fitness is built into something you genuinely enjoy, staying consistent becomes much easier.
Adults need something outside of work, family, and daily responsibilities that they genuinely enjoy. JiuJitsu gives you that: a place to train, challenge yourself, clear your head, and have fun. That mental break is something most people don't get anywhere else in their lives.
You'll train with motivated people from all walks of life who push you to be better. Whether you're a former athlete looking to compete again or someone starting from scratch, you'll be part of a community that holds you accountable and supports your growth. Training partners become friends, and the culture here is built on respect, hard work, and mutual improvement.

Most of our members started with no martial arts experience, and some of our best students did not come from any athletic background at all. Our beginner classes are taught with the assumption that you are starting from zero, so you can learn the basics without feeling lost or thrown in too fast.
You do not need to “get in shape” before trying Jiu-Jitsu. Training will help you build conditioning over time, and our coaches will help you move at a pace that makes sense while still challenging you.
No experience is needed at all. Most people here started as complete beginners. Coaches will walk you through the basics step by step. You can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
If you look at our schedule you'll notice we have two types of classes ("Gi" and "No-Gi"). This refers to the type of uniform used in the class.
In a Gi class, you wear a traditional martial arts uniform called a gi (or kimono), which allows for grips and techniques using the uniform itself.
In NoGi class, you train in athletic clothing like rash guards and shorts, with techniques adjusted for the lack of grips on clothing.
We have uniforms here in stock at the front desk that you can purchase at sign-up and we will give you a free rental uniform during your free trial.
A beginners class is structured so you can follow along even if you’ve never done anything like this before.
You’ll start with a quick warm-up, then the coach will teach a technique step-by-step and explain what’s happening and why. You’ll practice it with a partner, and then do some controlled training where you can try it in a safe, guided way.
You’re not thrown into anything chaotic. Everything is organized so you can learn, understand what’s going on, and get comfortable on the mat.
That’s totally fine. Training 1 day per week is still enough to make real progress over time. The key is consistency. If you ever want to speed things up, you can always add an extra day later. We also offer the option to pay-per-class so you're not locked into any membership.
No, you’re not too old. We have adults of all ages training here, and our oldest member is 67. JiuJitsu is something you can start at any stage because you can train at your own pace, take breaks when you need to, and focus on technique over hard-sparring.
